MIT: Art Culture and Technology

The MIT program in Art, Culture and Technology (ACT) operates as a critical studies and production based laboratory, connecting the arts with an advanced technological community.

MIT University (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) is world renowned for it programs in computing, art, culture, and science

Aspire was approached by the Founding Director of MIT's ACT - Ute Meta Bauer to construct the new website for the newly formed laboratory.

The new website had been designed in Berlin to reflect and integrate with a new identity for the faculty. The work Aspire carried out required the successful amalgamation of the new identity and layouts with new functionality that would improve the management of the website for both the faculty and its stakeholders.

The system acts as a database for the various courses that ACT offer, therefore, its execution and operation was a critical element within the project. Aspire collated and entered extensive data into the new system and performed in depth testing to ensure that people from around the world could access the administration system and course information.

The turnaround time on this project was very tight, including the planning and problem solving tasks, in order to accommodate the various needs of MIT-ACT.

The website was launched in February of 2011, and so far has proven to be a great success. MIT have received positive feedback and Aspire have continued to support staff and to develop the site.

Aspire created a fantastic system for the new ACT website which showcases the new design with great results. ACT - MIT needed to get a new website launched quickly after its formation.

We were pleased with how easy it was to work together and how straightforward it was to achieve out goal of launching a new website for a new program here at MIT.
