KingsPath is the Clinical Diagnostic Pathology Service at King's College Hospital, and hosts one of the largest automated laboratories in Europe.
Comprehensive clinical diagnostic pathology services are provided to King's College, London, NHS Trusts, Primary Care and the private sector.
Aspire was approached to redesign and redevelop the NHS Kingspath website to focus on its extensive range of testing services.
Restructuring the website was vital to ensure the vast amount of information was presented in an easy to browse manor.
We decided to use a navigation that spanned the page and to break down the testing services into manageable sections. User interface design was a key element on this project.Viewers of the website arrive needing to locate specific information quickly.
Information accessibility is vital to user satisfaction, and this was more evident than ever with this project.
To combat this we created an innovative overlay system - 'The Test Directory', that allows viewers to get to any test page in under three clicks.
The brief also stipulated the need to overhaul the existing look and feel of the previous website. We decided to use fresh, clean and subtle colours to achieve this, along with related graphics.
